today was my favorite day so far. i am so exhausted and sunburnt so i won't do the big post about it now. we went on our VCU group excursion to the Melk closter and Dürnstein, outside Vienna by one and two hours respectively. we climbed a mountain in Dürnstein to a really fantastic view of vineyards, mountains, and the Brown Danube, among a lot of other things. wowies. i feel a lot closer to The Group after that, mostly the mountain climbing.
when i finally dragged myself back to my apartment, the first thing i did was, of course, throw down my stuff and go to the toilette. as i'm sitting around, finishing my business, bathroom door wide open (obviously), i hear the front door being unlocked and FREAK OUT a tiny bit, because up till now there has been no one! her name is Nanaka and she is from Japan and i like her. then, half an hour later while i'm cleaning up my embarrassing kitchen mess, the OTHER ONE comes in: Rita, whom I am guessing is from a South Asian country based on her accent. Everything is different now.
